Henderson State LipDub

The Henderson State LipDub is ONLINE!

Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas hosted its first LipDub video event on May 2, 2012. They trusted the technical side of the production to myself and my team at ALAMO MEDIA, Inc. We coordinated all the camera and Gator movements while their staff arranged and placed the student groups along the route. It was an incredibly challenging day and a production unlike any other due to the length of the one continuous Glidecam shot, but we could not be any more thankful to be trusted with the honor of being a part.

Preparing for Worship

Just preparing for worship this afternoon. Looking forward to tonight with great anticipation.

There is some incredible knowledge to be gained from simply choosing to spend time watching others, and from taking in every possible bit of information from what they display. I love sitting on YouTube and pausing and rewinding and watching videos over and over again to learn and take in what free knowledge I can from people doing incredible things. I'm just going to post a few links of material I've spent the afternoon reviewing getting pumped for tonight:

Windy Lift Audio

The day before our LipDub shoot. We only needed audio for maybe 10secs out of the entire 6min video, but that audio had to come from a moving Genie lift, 20-30ft up in the air and rising, on what would likely be a windy spring afternoon.

SMAPP

The video for the video app already blew my mind.

I had to pause the video four times just to keep up.

I have a very high respect for the StillMotion team, and I could not be more excited about their development of their very own app. It should hit the App Store by the end of the month, and I can't wait. :)

I won't turn this into a three-page post of StillMotion videos, but here is just one. And this is just their most recent one, the quickest and easiest to go grab.

Incredible. Love the work these guys consistently produce.

LipDub Run-Through

Tomorrow, May 1st, we will have a run through of the production at 4pm. We need at least one member from every organization (or as many as possible) to come share ideas and get information to take back to their respective groups.

Please, if you are interested in being in the LipDub and can make it, we would love to see you.

We plan to shoot the LipDub Wednesday from 2pm-6pm. That day will be the first time most of the participants see what's going on. The more people we can have at this meeting the better organized things can be. We hope to begin shooting as soon as possible on Wednesday, and this meeting will help that go smoother.

We hope to see you there!

thank you very much,
