Refuge 11.17.11

Tonight's Refuge was one of the top 10 in my book, which is full of Refuge's since the fifth week into my Freshman year when @austinjwalker invited me to come "lend a hand" with the production side of things.  I continually thank God for how he has allowed me to serve through this incredible ministry.  We all are called to serve, and all can find some way to give, but to be placed in such a custom-fit role... thank you God.

Here are the files!  In the post message I believe Overcome counts in at 12:23.  Worship was incredible tonight.

Thank you for dropping by, thank you for reading, but mostly, thank you for listening.  :D

MBSF 10.18.11

Here's an MBSF service from a month or so back.  One of my favorites from the entire semester.  This past week was our last week to lead worship for the semester and I am emotional about getting that much closer to having to say goodbye to my friends.

The recording is just a house ambient mic, I'm sorry it's not up there on the quality scale, but I love it.  :)

Kimbo starts out with You'll Come, then I lead Blessed Be Your Name, then Beth leads Like Incense/Sometimes by Step, and I close it out with The One Who Saves.

MBSF 10.18.11

thank you for stopping by, for reading, and for listening!  Have a great week.  :)

Henderson State Internet

I am going to miss HSU so much.  The Internet speed here is outrageous.  If I can just time myself to upload while I'm taking notes in class, the upload is super fast.  Look at these speeds from yesterday afternoon:

Hooten Family

Laura and I had a great time getting to take pictures of the Hooten family of Arkadelphia last Sunday. The timing was just right where we were able to capture the leaves at a beautiful color point in their changing. I always promise to have my post-work done in one week, but I'm one day late on this one. Chanda was smart to book the shoot when she did, these are going to make for some rocking Christmas Cards! :D
thank you Hootens!
As always, you can see the photos by clicking the "photography" link at the top of this page, or here's a direct link: http://cameronmagee.zenfolio.com/hootenfamily

Note

Something I found scribbled in some notes of mine from a message months back:

The apostle Paul, interestingly enough, doesn’t use phrases like “nominal Christian” or “pretty good kid.” The Bible doesn’t seem to mess around with platitudes like: “Yeah, it’s a shame he did that, but he’s got a good heart.” When we listen to the witness of Scripture, particularly on the topic of conversion, we find that there is very little wiggle room. Listen to these words: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Cor. 5:17).
