Henderson Idol 2012 Promo

Here is a video we just finished up recently for our friends at Henderson State University. We have been providing the Live Audio Production side of their Spring event "Henderson Idol" for a couple of years now, and this year they asked us to show them what we could do with our video abilities.

The Student Activities Board holds auditions for the students to come in and try out to be on the show, so we we came in and recorded each student. After the real auditions were over a couple of us jumped out in front of the camera and did some silly auditions just for fun on-camera.

We took all of that into editing, with Michael creating the custom music soundtrack from scratcha and Dave doing all of the graphics you see. The video really came together quite well in the final cut. What you see in this post is the PROMO video, mostly intended for Facebook and Twitter, to spread the information about the show. We are finishing up the second video that will be used to start the show on opening night. Very excited about putting even more energy into the room this Tuesday. :)

thanks for stopping by and thanks for watching!

Trey & Laura

Trey & Laura - Before Laura and I had the opportunity to be with the Emory's on their wedding day December 30, 2011, and I cannot express how excited I am to get this online to share with you. The Ceremony is finished, and the "After" will come together later today. :) Can't wait to get it online as well.

You can't do better online.

This is a quick short we did for HSU's Bookstore about book buy-back for the Fall 2011 semester. My friend Matt Mustain starred in this one because of his experience in the bookstore. :)

My friend Mr. Matt Mustain and I had a fun time shooting this quick look at our Spirit Competition work.

We kept the equipment simple so that we could move quickly, and be as unobtrusive as possible. The parents are used to us recording their daughters, but not as familiar with us recording them, so we tried to be as subtle as we could.
